"The resort staff are all super friendly and extremely accommodating. We would return again in the future just to experience the excellence of the staff. Housekeeping does an amazing job cleaning the rooms daily. The beds are comfortable and the main pool is interesting with the sand base coming into the walk-in. The lagoon beach is nice and the Oceanside beach is beautiful and you can snorkel out for a long way, but you won’t see any tropical fish. To improve, they need a hot tub and a better restaurant on property. Our door would stick badly and facilities fixed it immediately. The gas stoves didn’t lite in the kitchenette and the bathtub was really dated. Overall, I would highly recommend staying and I’m not easy to please. "

"Stay was excellent, resort was great and staff were so kind. A little pricey but you know that prior to booking and prices were clear. Food was great everywhere but sugar factory - food was cheap quality and honestly inedible (service slow but staff very kind). The food literally every other place was great - even the poolside bars. "

"My husband and I spent 3 nights here in celebration of my 40th birthday. The grounds were lovely, as was our room. We had a wonderful view of the ocean! I also liked that everything on the resort was easily accessible. The AC unit was great and kept the room cool and comfortable. The mini bar included wine, soda, juice, water and tea/coffee. The bed was spacious and very comfortable. Upon entering our room, we noticed that we were only given 1 washcloth. We made multiple requests to the front desk but didn't receive additional washcloths until the following day. We encountered a few issues with the water in the room.It would shut off during our showers, especially during the morning hours. We also experienced some Wi-Fi connectivity issues which the staff was able to resolve in a day. I also had a small issue securing lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach. It seemed as though all of the lounges with umbrellas were reserved for the guests with butler service. There should be more lounge chairs with umbrellas available for all guests. One of my favorite features was the food trucks, one of which had fresh cookies daily. I loved the oatmeal raisin ones! Overall, the staff was friendly, the food and drinks were good and we enjoyed our stay."

"Staying at A Stone Throw away was a unique experience, a historical hotel with an ambience from a time long gone by, absolutely charming. Beautiful lush tropical garden, an amazing covered entrance to the hotel reminding guests somewhat of an entrance to a fortress. The personnel was so nice and very helpful. The Beach was close and the Indian dinner delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you."
